Tax Incentives:

The Seia website Seia is tracking interpretations of the New Federal Solar Tax Credits for residential and Business applications. We'll explain the benefits and include them in your costs analysis at a site assessment. This is the first Solar Tax credit for homeowners since 1985. It is slated to expire on December 31, 2008.

Massachusetts

Tax Incentives:

Massachusetts has an income tax credit for individuals who install renewable energy systems (solar or wind power) for their primary residences. The credit is 15% of your cost of the system, including installation, up to a maximum of $1,000. Additionally, the purchase of a PV system to be installed on a primary residence is exempt from Massachusetts sales tax. Commercial owners or non-Massachusetts residents, we would be happy to explain other federal and state incentives.

Grant Incentives

Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust.

The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, (MTC) offers rebates for residential customers under the new Commonwealth Solar program in 2008. Contact us for residential, commercial and institutional PV projects under the Commonwealth Solar Program or Go to Masstech.org to learn more.
